Child of the West

Am I a child of the West? I don't really think so, but I would love to be.

The term"child of the west" has changed over time. In the history it might refers to the western settlers. I just moved to the west coast a couple of months ago, but I am very different from the settlers. I don't need to face the hardship they once encountered. Nowadays, in my opinion, a child of west loves and lives out the culture and tradition of the west. I am definitely not a typical "child of west". However, I love the ocean and the weather in California. I also like the food and lifestyle. I think I will become a child of west someday.

When I've felt grown up

Hello my dear readers!
Today I am gonna talk about a time when I felt grown up.

I don't have a specific experience. I have grown up little by little, and I can always feel it. The first time I walked to school alone, the first time I took the bus alone, and the first time I babysat my sister, I felt I've grown up. I never felt I've truly become a woman, and I still have a lot to learn. I hope this moment will come soon!

Hey friends,

75 years from now, what would you like to give to the world?

For me, I would like to be remembered as a person that has dedicated something special for the world. I hope I can make the world better, even if just a little bit. When the people think of me, they will be grateful for what I have done.

In addition, I would like kindness be another legacy of mine. I want to be an example that my children, grandchildren, and even great-grandchildren, could follow, and they will always learn to be nice.

My Identity

• Chinese:  I am from China, so I have different lifestyles from Americans. For example, I never celebrated Thanksgiving, and never gone to trick or treating before I came. .            

• Piano: I have been playing piano for probably 8 years. I didn't enjoy it when I was little (like most kids). Now I has begun to like it.

• Resilient : I feel like I am able to take things as they come. I could adjust to a new environment quickly. I think it is probably it is a good thing because I can stay happy in different place

My Revolution

Hey guys,

Today I am gonna talk about my revolution. If I could change the world, I hope everything is environmentally friendly. My revolution is not violent at all, actually it is just a change in people's thoughts.

In my opinion, everyone is supposed to love nature and try to preserve the environment. There is too much pollution in our world, and we keep producing more everyday. If every single person tries to be environmentally friendly, it would make the environment a lot more better. In my revolution, people are supposed to learn about our nature and to preserve it.

My quest

My quest in life is just to live happily. It could be simple. I hope I can always do things that I like, like a joyful bird in the forest.

For example, I would like to get up after 8 o'clock every morning and read a book under a tree while the sun is smiling down.

On rainy day, I want to go shopping or go to the movie. I hope that the people I love are all alive and healthy. Also I hope I can travel with family and friends regularly.

Most importantly, I wish my quest is my future but not my daydream.

4)Education: All kids are required to go to elementary through high school. Then they can decide whether they want to go to college to continue study. In school they learn to respect each other, and develop their own interests. All schools provide multiple activities and clubs for all students

5)Religion: People worship freely, but all the religions teach people to be kind.

6)Architecture: The buildings are simple but comfortable and convenient. Their styles vary depending on different area.

7)Politics/government: Each region has its own government. All adults have the right to vote.

8)Leisure, entertainment, the arts: There are many ways of entertainment such as listening to music, playing sports, dancing, etc... Musicians and artists are regard as a very important role in the society. Also, playing sports is a popular way of entertainment.

9)Science, Technology: Scientists are highly respected. Their goal is to get to know the world and make it better. In the utopia everyone can access the advanced technology, and technology is also a subject in school.

10)Food, nourishment, sustainability, health: All kinds of food are sold in the market. The vegetables are fresh and cheap, but meat and junk food are comparably more expensive to encourage people eat healthy. Everyone enjoys a secure public health service. When someone get sick, he can simply go to the hospital and be treated right away at any time.

11)Conflict resolution: Courts would try their best to make a fair decision which is agreed by both sides.
